ASCM says that the program provides participants with “comprehensive knowledge of the concepts, tools, and trends related to supplier relationship management.”
The program is designed to help individuals:
• Identify, evaluate and deepen supplier and vendor relationships
• Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements
• Evaluate and monitor the benefits and risks associated with suppliers
• Enhance organizational efficiency and drive value across your supply chain
Those achieving the certificate should realize a number of benefits, ASCM says, including enhanced credibility, enabling them to “stand out in a competitive job marketing with a globally recognized digital badge demonstrating your knowledge of supplier relationship management.”
The course to prepare for the on-line exam includes the following topics:
Supplier Selection and Evaluation: Understand the importance behind strategic supplier selections and how to use criteria ranking methodology to identify supplier capabilities.
