An interesting new report from 3PL Ryder that looked at the impact on operating costs from moving from traditional diesel trucks to an all electric fleet (EVs), based in part on data from 13,000 or so of the trucks it operates for customers.
The table below from the report looks at Ryder's estimate from a model mixed fleet of 25
trucks, mostly heavy duty Class 8 trucks but some medium and light duty too.

As can be seen, Ryder's analysis finds the move to EV in Georgia would add 67% to those costs.
