An interesting new report from Boston Consulting Group on global manufacturing group strategies contained the following chart, which estimates total landed costs to the US from a number of countries relative to US domestic costs, giving the US a score of 100:

One key observation: with a score of 96, China is approaching US costs, and exceeds them if the tariffs are factored in.
