At the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium this week in Orlando, analyst Dwight Klappich released a new model for how to think about software for distribution as seen below, depicting a new "Warehouse Operations Management (WOM) concept.

It is very interesting, and certainly indicative that it's not just about Warehouse Management Systems any more.
