As SCDigest reported this week, the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) is fresh out with a new report, based on its tests of Class 8 battery powered electric trucks as part of its annual Run on Less event. The headline news: the NACFE report says 50% of regional haul trucks could switch to electric right now in terms of both application and cost.

These lessons would look to be very useful to carriers and private fleets evaluating electrics.
