Which of the three major US parcel carriers had the best on time delivery performance in the third quarter?
That would be the US Post Office, which moved past UPS in the quarter, as shown in the chart below, based on data from ShipMatrix by way of the Wall Street Journal.

After making substantial investments in its network, the USPS saw its on-time performance take off in in 2021 after it hit bottom in Q4 of last year, rising from about 83% then to now 97% in this past period.
And FedEx – let’s just say it’s been heading in the opposite direction.
