The State of Logistics Report 2021 released in June by CSCMP and Kearney contained a "special topics" section on logistics "control towers."
That included the graphic below from the report, which illustrates one path for gaining control tower capabilities:

Seems reasonable enough to SCDigest, though doesn't have as much of global logistics feel that in our view drove the development of control towers.
