Here is an interesting question: what US metro markets have the most total existing warehouse space?
The real estate firm JLL reports on such matters, and recenly published the graphic below, which lists warehouse capacity in square feet across dozens of markets:

As can be seen, Chicago by far leads the pack, with some 1.2 billion (with a "b") square feet of warehouse space, follow by Los Angeles, Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Dallas/Ft. Worth in making the top 5.
