Supply Chain Graphic of the Week: Long Term Infrastructure Plan Going Nowhere

New House Caucus Promises to Focus on Strategic Policy, but Transport Topics Sees Little Prospects for Long Term Funding Bill

Oct. 24, 2018

There is an unusual level of bipartisan support, it seems, for doing something about US infrastructure.

That doesn't seem to be leading to date to much action.

But this week, several Democratic members of the US House launched a new Future of Transportation Caucus, with a stated goal of getting more strategic in terms of infrastructure policy, rather than the constant focus now on funding.

All that said, we liked the graphic in the articule on the Caucus from Transport Topics magazine, the publication of the American Trucking Associations, with what is calls a weekly Infrastructure Meter, as shown below:

As can be seen, Transport Topics sees the prospects for long term funding "dead in the water," new House caucus or not.
