We have it seems clearly entered the "robot era" in supply chain, for both manufacturing and logistics. 
                            
                          But not every US manufacturer is on the robot bandwago - at least for now. 
                           
                            
                          As evidence, witness the data shown in the graphic below, from a new report from the Manufacturing Institute and the consultants at PwC. 
                            
                            
                            
                          29% of manufacturers are marching ahead with robot deployments. However, 23% say they can't find the ROI for shop floor robots, while a small 5% of respondent don't any real need for the new-age machines. 
                            
                          Most interesting to SCDigest are the 36% of manufacturers which say they have interest in robots - but lack the resources and expertise to move forward effectively.
