More than 40 years after the first real-time Warehouse Management System (WMS) was deployed, WMS remains very hot, with demand driven by efulfillment requirements, more heavily automated distribution centers, a cohort of aging legacy systems and more.
Given that, we thought it would be good to publish a graphic on the WMS "Assessment to Selection" process, as developed by Kevin Hume, VP of supply chain technology at consulting firm Tompkins International, and shown below:
