On July 24, 2015, Amazon’s market cap surpassed Walmart’s. It took nearly 10 years for its revenue to do the same.
In what in effect are results for Q4 2024 for both companies, Amazon’s revenue of $187.7 billion exceeded Walmart’s $169.5 billion in sales for the first time, as seen in the graphic from Yahoo Finance below:

However, the numbers are a little deceiving, as Amazon’s numbers include its large web services and third-party logistics businesses, among others, whereas Walmart’s for now represents mostly just its birck and mortar and on-line retail sales.
