Did you know that about 100 workers in manufacturing and distribution are killed each year in fork truck related accidents?
Neither did we.
But that’s what data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics says, as recently published by the Wall Street Journal in the graphic below that shows the deaths in which fork trucks were the primary cause or a secondary cause:

With some 7500 accidents causing injuries annually involving fork trucks, some companies, including Tesla and Mercedes-Benz, have programs to adopt fork truck alternatives.
