We all know the incedible growth in ecommerce - up 44.5% in Q2, and 36.7% in Q3, awaiting Q4 numbers.
While growth is likely to slow in 2021 compared to 2020 rates after Q1, the powerful overall trend is sure to continue.
That is evidenced by a recent consumer survey by McKinsey, summarized in the chart below:

As can be seen, the growth in the percent of consumers that say they will purchase all or most of a given retail product category on-line is accelerating - expected to be up 81% post-pandemic for household supplies, for example.
Meanwhile, 22% of consumers say they will be most or all of their groceries on-line, up 48% versus before COVID-19.
It is simply a new retail world.
