Virtually everyone agrees supply chain risk management has risen substantially on the priority list of most companies over the past few years, but what are corporations doing in practice, and how deep into their supply chains are they going relative to risk management planning?
Those are among the questions addressed in a new research report from the Institute for Supply Management, based on a major survey of hundreds of companies.
Paul Lee, a research director, recently appeared on our weekly supply chain video news program produced in partnership with CSCMP, released every Monday morning on our Supply Chain Television Channel, to discuss some of the key findings of the study.
Those include how many tiers down in their supply chains companies are including in risk management planning, and if refreshing those plans only on an "as needed" basis is really good enough today.
We excerpted that portion of the news broadcast - please view this interesting conversation below. A copy of the report can be found here: ISM Report on Risk Management Practices.
