There seems no question that we are entering the robot era in supply chain.

That megatrend recently led the analysts at IDC Manufacturing Insights to compile a list of predictions relative to robot adoption that SCDigest found very interesting.

Below, IDC's John Santagate discusses some of the most interesting of those predictions with SCDigest editor Dan Gilmore, in an excerpt from our weekly Supply Chain Video News broadcast with CSCMP this week.

Those predictions the emergence of the chief robotics officer, growing use of "robots as a service," and widespread adoption of so-called collaborative robots.
