The Supply Chain Efficient Frontier is one of the most important concepts in the discipline - most know of it as the tradeoff curve, such as between between cost and customer service, for example.
But Dr. Sean Willems, chief scientists at software company Logility and the new Haslam chair of supply chain analytics at the University of Tennessee thinks there is a lot most of us do not understand about the efficient frontier.
It's more than one curve, for example, and shifting the curve rather than just moving along it to both reduce cost and improve service largely defines high performing supply chains. Another tip: plotting your competitor's curves can be a great way to catalyze action.
Watch Willems and SCDigest editor Dan Gilmore discuss all this and more.
