That incredibly is the share of global production of humanoid robots controlled by Chinese companies in 2025. That according to new research from the analysts at Interact Analysis, as published in a June blog post. In terms of adoptions, about 75% of humanoid robots were delivered in China, Interact estimates. The disparity between domestic production and demand in China during 2025 is primarily due to significant overseas sales achieved by several Chinese humanoid robot manufacturers, with demand driven mainly by academic research and entertainment use. Interact also says the top 5 producers in 2025 were all Chinese manufacturers, collectively accounting for approximately 70% of global humanoid robot production. Unitree and Agibot each produced and shipped over 5,000 units, together surpassing 11,000 units and representing more than 50% of the global market.

That’s how many ship crew are currently stranded in the Persian Gulf, as a resort of the closing of the Strait of Hormuz. But with that status appearing to have changed, the International Maritime Organization said it will start implementing a plan to evacuate over 11,000 seafarers stuck in the Persian Gulf. The operation will be coordinated with Iran, the US, Oman and other Gulf states, and the general shipping industry. In a notice to mariners, the Royal Navy of Oman said it worked with the IMO to establish a temporary maritime corridor, which groups of stranded vessels can transit in phases to avoid collisions. Vessels will be contacted individually for transit instructions and timing, and were told they may move into a designated waiting area in international waters at the west of the Strait of Hormuz.

That was the strong rise in internodal volumes in May, according to the to the Association of American Railroads. The Wall Street Journal reported this week that a growing number of shippers are moving from truck to rail due to rapidly rising truckload rates and fuel surcharge costs. The rising cost to transport goods via truck has “forced more and more folks to think about whether intermodal is a viable alternative, as those savings start to look more like 10%, 15%, 20% potential,” said Mark Yeager, chief executive of Redwood Logistics. Meanwhile, J.B. Hunt Transport Services, one of the country’s largest intermodal providers, reported its highest-ever first-quarter domestic intermodal volume.
