Supply Chain Digest's Weekly Supply Chain and Logistics Stock Report

Week Ending October 13, 2023

In SCDigest's weekly review of the stock market performance across a group of over 20 supply chain software and hardware firms, as well as freight carriers and logistics service providers, it was an up week on Wall Street, with the S&P 500 rising 0.4%, but our supply chain and logistics stock index actually fell 2.9%, using an unweighted average (largely due to one stock crashing.)

The top winner in our index was rail carrier Norfolk Southern, which rose 4.9%, followed by Union Pacific and truck carrier JB Hunt, which were both up 2.6%.

On the downside, the largest loser was software firm e2Open, which collapsed 42.6%, while fellow software company Kinaxsis fell 9.2%.

See performance for the past week, month and year for each stock and the whole index in the chart below.
