Thousands of readers watched our Day 1 and Day 2 video reviews.

Thousands more read SCDigest editor Dan Gilmore's written review and comment last Friday.

Here, we have taken the full day 2 video review and comment and broken out the cool new solutions Gilmore and materials handling editor Cliff Holste found on the show floor into individual segments, so readers can view just the solutions they are most interested in.

Day 1 individual videos can be found here: Best of MODEX 2014 Day 1 Individual Videos

We start with a new "omni-directional" sorter from Intralox that Holste says will have a great fit for automated pick and pass systems as well as other applications.

Integratated Systems Design (ISD) introduced what it calls a "mid-load" AS/RS that Holste believes will open up the AS/RS market to a substantial number of companies for which a traditional AS/RS is just too much.

Another Voice solution caught our eye, that being the Voice software in the Cloud system from Voxware, which promises the potential for easier, lower cost implementations.

QTEK Design featured a simple but innovative system that automated the dispensing of empty pallets for pallet jacks and fork trucks. It's like a reverse Pez dispenser, if that makes any sense. We should have thought of it first.

A Norway company called Xeneta has started an interesting new rate benchmark service for ocean container shipping.

Softeon has again come up with an innovative approach to WMS, powering its Cloud-based solution with a series of industry templates that walk a non-IT user right though system configuration.
