Supply Chain Digest announced today the launch of a new micro-site focused on distribution management and materials handling topics.
The new "home page within a home page" features a wealth of news, opinion, insight and tools for logistics managers, distribution center managers, industrial engineers, logistics-focused IT managers, and many other professional roles. It can be viewed at www.scdigest.com/distributiondigest.com.
The new page and editorial content is led by Cliff Holste, SCDigest's Materials Handling Editor, who has more than 30 years experience in the materials handling industy.
The site features Holste's popular "Sorting it Out" blog, which covers a wide range of material handling and distribution topics.

The site will feature additional bloggers and columnists, distribution and materials handling industry news, news that matters from vendors in the industry, tools for logistics professionals, upcoming events and broadcasts from SCDigest, and many more features.
"We are very excited to launch this new site, and have a number of other features and additions planned," said Holste. "This new site will continue SCDigest's tradition of providing unique, insightful and valuable information to logistics professionals."
For example, the new vendor news section will sift the mountain of announcements by software companies, material handling providers, and service firms to find those announcements that are really worth noting - and identify what is noteworthy about each announcement.
"We have thousands of readers interested in these topics, and felt the need to more specifically focus on this area of the industry," said SCDigest editor Dan Gilmore. "We're confident this will become the preferred source of information in the industry."
