Just what plans do companies have to better integrate supply chain planning and execution?

Pretty aggressive, according to a recent study.

In the landmark report on Integrated Supply Chain Planning and Execution recently released by Chief Supply Chain Officer Insights, the process of integrated supply chain planning and execution is compared to that of making a successful aircraft flight. The full CSCO Insights report can be downloaded here: Next Generation Supply Chain Management: The Integration of Planning and Execution.

As seen in the graphic below, although just 10% of companies believe they have a high level of integrated supply chain planning and execution today, an astounding 92% believe they need to reach that level in the next 2-3 years.
