Obviously, sustainability and the "green" supply chain have taken center stage at corporations, conferences and other venues across the globe.
A new report from greenbiz.com offers a good overall perspective on green suppy chain issues, and includes this "index," illustrated below, which offers its view of the progress or lack thereof across 10 different measures of green progress.

As can be seen in the illustration, the report found strong gains ("swim") in efforts towards carbon "transparency," investments in green technologies, and research (patents). It is critical in progress made towards reducing carbon output. The other categories in the index were rated as in-between.
