It caused a stir because MHI already manages two huge and successful Spring shows, ProMat and MODEX, each run every other year, MODEX in Atlanta in even numbered years, and ProMat in Chicago in odd numbered years.
And now in 2028, we get MODEX West to capture potential West Coast attendees that can get to Vegas without a long trip to Chicago or Atlanta.
MHI CEO John Paxton affirmed that the new is the association's response to the needs of both exhibitors and attendees, who expressed interest in having a new market access opportunity that provides even greater penetration into the enormous supply chain audience, both on the West Coast and internationally.
"MODEX West will extend and expand the strength, relevance and value of the MODEX brand," Paxton said. "The goal is to deliver the kind of unmatched show experience that MHI attendees and exhibitors have come to expect at both MODEX and ProMat which includes a complete range of technologies physically on display, hands-on solution demos, leading-edge education delivered by industry experts, and unrivaled connections to the supply chain community."
So in 2028 we'll get two MODEX shows, the first in April followed by the West show in Las October.
