Data came from a broad mix of companies both in terms of size and industry. Virtually every industry sector was represented, and there was a balance between small, medium and large companies. 9.3% were from companies or divisions that had over $10 billion in sales, while 18.2% were under $100 million in size (almost 60% were answering from the perspective of a division, not the entire company, so many of these smaller respondents actually were part of larger companies). 31% had sales of $1 to $9.9 billion.

There were also many perspective relative to roles in a company. 30% had a focused role in the S&O process , just slightly higher than the percentage of supply chain executives. But there were a wide variety of titles and roles among respondents, as shown below.
