Major Revision to US Manufacturing Data

The Federal Reserve tracks US manufacturing levels on a monthly basis, which SCDigest follows closely.

 

So we were somewhat shocked to see the effects of the Fed's annual revision in early April on the data, which basically cut the growth rate of US maufacturing since 2012 in half and showed the US is still well off of reaching its all-time peak manufacturing year of 2007- which the Fed once reported had been accomplished in July of 2015.
