Supply Chain Digest has released the second in its on-going Supply Chain Planning Insights Video series.
This latest edition includes an interesting discussion between Jim Stephens of The Supply Chain Television Channel and SCDigest’s Dan Gilmore around the role of effective inventory management, free cash flow and shareholder value. It includes a brief analysis of how Wal-Mart was able to use this strategy to dramatically increase free cash flow from operations, and can be viewed on-demand at: Supply Chain Planning Insights.
In edition 1 of the series, the focus was on Shifting the Inventory Curve – how the new market dynamics mean companies can no longer afford to move along different places along the traditional inventory and service trade-off curve, but actually make business and technology changes to shift the curve to achieve improvement in both categories.
Both videos can be quickly accessed at the Supply Chain Planning Insights video page. |
