ANSWER
The Bullwhip Effect – the roots of the model, which shows how demand signals get skewed as they move back up the supply chain from true end user demand, has its roots in work by J. Forrester, but really reached the supply chain consciousness when Dr. Hau Lee later wrote about it as the Bullwhip Effect.
