In its annual "What People Earn" report, Parade Magazine Sunday listed "Logistics Manager" as one of the top 5 "hottest jobs" for college graduates, reflecting the increased importance and complexity of supply chain management. It defines logistics manager as one who "plans, implements and controls the flow of goods," and gives a salary range of $35,000 to $118,000 - we assume for the manager level itself, not just college grads.   The placement in the top 5 comes with some credibility, as the list was developed based both on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and input from management recruiter Challenger, Gray & Christmas. There have been numerous other reports in the past couple of years about the growth of job opportunities and pay for supply chain and logistics professionals - great news for practioners.
