Supply Chain News Makers Video Series:
Changes Coming to Cross Border Logistics with Mexico

Dec. 1, 2014

For decades, Mexican customers brokers have controlled most freight flows into and out of Mexico, in a process that serves in effect as a $2 billion tariff annually on cross border logistics, contrary to NAFTA provisions.

But that status quo is at long last scheduled to change in 2015, according to Jim Giermanski, chairman of supply chain security firm Powers International, and world class international logistics expert.

We recently had the chance to speak with Giermanski about all this and more on of our weekly Supply Chain Video News programs from our Supply Chain Television Channel and CSCMP to discuss a variety of questions, which we've broken out as a separate video clip here.

Exactly what is schedule to change - and will the new rules really be applied at the border? View the excellent video discussion on all this between Giermanski and SCDigest's Dan Gilmore now below.

Have a question for Giermanski? Send it Here and we will forward on for a personal response.
