The State of Logistics Report for 2016 - highlighting US logistics data from 2015 - was released last week at the National Press Club in Washington DC, the first report under new lead authors from consulting firm AT Kearney.
SCDigest editor Dan Gilmore offered his written summary of the report last week, which you can find here: State of the Logistics Union 2016.
Gilmore also covered the 2016 report in Video form during the week's Supply Chain Video News from our Supply Chain Television and CSCMP, which has been excerpted from the fulll broadcast here for our readers.
The headline news is that logistics costs as a percent of US GDP fell slightly last year, to 7.85%, from 7.91% in 2014. In addition, the past decade of this metric has been revised down somewhere around half a percentage point each year, meaning US logistics costs were less burdensome than the previous data suggested.
Please watch Gilmore cover the 2016 report in this must-see SCTV.
